limited edition creations

I currently make most of my products within a limited edition range. This is mostly because I enjoy the process of making new things, and exploring different ideas. I also like making only a few of some things, and not repeating myself endlessly......

At the moment I am working with silk thread and a tiny crochet hook. Most of my yarns have been hand dyed in plant based natural dyeing methods. This gives the yarn a unique and beautiful appearance, while caring for our planet by using non-toxic dye methods.

My natural plant dyeing is an ongoing experimentation. I enjoy the journey of taking raw thread / yarn (linen, hemp, cotton or silk) and seeing what colours and hues it will evolve into. Each dye batch results in different colour, meaning all my hand worked pieces are one-off.

I also enjoy working with the imperfections in my making. Embracing the wonk. Or as my 5year-old daughter says "being perfect is too perfect, and I could do that if I wanted, but I don't want".

Please join my mailing list, or follow my blog, to be notified of a new range. I will launch each range as it's ready.

2013 is my year of slow making - enjoying the process of making and the journey of exploring the materials and where my hands, heart, head take them.
